What to expect

Our first six-session experience invites you into a deeper exploration of who you are and what your life is meant to hold. If you’ve ever felt lost, overwhelmed, or pressured to “figure it all out,” you’re not alone.

Each session helps you step back from that pressure and look at your life with a clearer lens. With insights from psychology, philosophy, personal stories, discussion and reflection, you’ll discover that your life has meaning, you were made with purpose, and there is a way forward that doesn’t depend on controlling everything or getting it all right.

  • A place to gather with others asking similar questions to you
  • Good food, community, and hearing from a speaker
  • Space and guidance to create clarity in your life
  • A chance to slow down and add greater intentionality to your choices
  • Trained guides who are available to be with you in your journey - Who are guides?
What I'll get out of this

An opportunity to go deep and discover clarity of your unique values, views, hopes, and dreams as a way to make the most of out of the life you’ve been given.

We believe thriving and deep fulfillment is possible for each of us. By the end, you’ll have a clearer sense of who you are, what matters, and where you’re headed.

Who are we?

*Human Chicago is a community searching for meaning, purpose, belonging, and ultimately, on a shared quest into what it means to be fully human. We believe the best way to do this starts in relationship through dialogue around who we are and how we experience the world.

Our team is made up of spiritual seekers, psychologists, theologians, and those with a deep commitment to help others become fully themselves.

Session overview

An exploration of the enduring human needs beneath our desires, helping you distinguish what truly sustains a life from what culture temporarily rewards.

A reflective evening focused on uncovering the narratives—spoken and unspoken—that have shaped your work and relationships, and discerning where they’ve delivered fulfillment or quietly failed.

A reframing of responsibility not as burden or blame, but as the dignified pathway through which freedom, meaning, and real fulfillment become possible.

An invitation to see virtue not as moral pressure but as a lived practice—one that reshapes both your interior life and the world you participate in.

A closing night that gathers the threads of the series and invites you into a slower, more intentional authorship of your work, relationships, and daily decisions.

Frequently asked questions

Think of it as a round table for us to meet each other on a human level. We provide a space to socialize, enjoy good food and drinks, take in some presentations and dialogue together about how we see and process the world.

This is for anyone who is on a quest to pursue true meaning and fulfillment in life. Come as you are, and be welcomed as you are. Ideally, bring a friend or family member who is also on this shared quest!

The evening is unhurried and welcoming: arrive, grab a drink, and enjoy some food. Then a short talk exploring ‘Am I doing a good job at being me?’ and the unfulfilling parts of work and relationships, followed by guided table conversations to reflect together.

The night is completely free, including the space, food, and drinks.

We simply believe in creating a beautiful space where people who are stretched thin can show up and receive. A place where nothing is expected of you, no agenda, no pressure, just room to breathe deeply and be present.

This night exists because a group of real people, supported by generous patrons, felt a hunger to do something for others. It’s a response to the needs and longings we see all around us. An offering of presence, beauty, and community.

While our team is rooted in the Christian story, this is not a debate night or a pitch. Our goal is to explore human needs and longings together through beauty, goodness, and honest dialogue. Everything is open. Everyone is an equal at the table.

Come as you are! Whether you're coming straight from work or in your favorite weekend casual wear, the goal is for you to feel comfortable and at ease.

There is ample street parking in and around the area and a paid parking lot across the street.
