Pathways to facilitate the spiritually seeking through thresholds of transformation towards encounter with Christ & the Church.

The Problem 

In our culture today, the Church is not reaching spiritual seekers, leaving them unable to truly satisfy their spiritual hunger. 74% of people want to grow spiritually and 43% of adults in Chicago report not receiving adequate emotional support.

Our Solution

The *Human initiative is designed in partnership with the Archdiocese of Chicago, to support the accompaniment of each person toward metanoia, a transformative renewal of heart and mind through faith in Christ. We do this by engaging a digitally native generation in their search for meaning and belonging.

Our approach is an ontological approach not an apologetic one, a deeply human approach that’s ​​concerned with meaning, identity, longing, and right relationship.

Our desire is to expand one’s way of seeing the world and oneself, helping people find clarity and coherence so that they may live with true meaning and fulfillment. Our prayer is that this path leads to an authentic, personal encounter with Jesus. We will do this by engaging with the audience through local gatherings, felt-need-based content, and guides trained in accompaniment.

You are invited to Guide Development

You have been recognized as someone who humbly and compassionately lives out the heart of Jesus. Our heart is to walk alongside you, and others like you, over the span of a few months so you might be equipped to reach those in your life who are spiritually seeking, and be an integral part of making an impact in our city.

What is a guide? A guide is not a counsellor or a teacher, but a spiritual friend, attuned to the Spirit, and walking their own journey alongside another. 

What do you gain as a Guide? 

• A deep well of spiritual, human, and intellectual formation in evangelization in today’s age including deeper understanding of how to connect with the world, how people engage with meaning, intentional accompaniment, and more.
• Your own spiritual accompaniment and guidance as you walk your journey with God 
• A community of others who are with you in the journey
• A place to grow, practice, and embody your missionary identity
